Wedding dress ideas for a casual wedding – Part 2
When i got married, we paid $50 for my dress and got married at city hall. But i don’t think anyone is going for something so “casual”. Casual is simple,sweet & cost effective.
With a casual wedding, maybe you do not have the funds to have a bigger wedding or maybe you need to get married soon but still want something nice, or you just aren’t a complicated girl and a wedding of 20 is want you’ve always dreamed of. Sometimes couples have a casual wedding because they are madly in love and they aren’t getting married just to have pictures of their friends drinking expensive booze & a lot of the time all the planning and money & things take the romance out of spending the rest of your lives together. Now you could check out Davids Bridal and try to find a dress for under $100 or you can buy your dress at H&M. Lets say your getting hitched in summer you can find a nice spaghetti strap dress that comes to your mid thigh and flows when you walk. If it’s a spring thing then maybe a nice white or eggshell that reaches mid calve and has a nice satin ribbon around the waist preferably in a nice spring color, (yellow,peach,sage). If it’s fall try an ankle length dress with three quarter sleeves with two inch shoulder straps. Winter is a bit harder , maybe a Jackie Kennedy throw back, nice white wool two piece suit, A-line skirt and jacket that fits nice & snug that just comes to your waist.
Now the ideas i gave were for white but its your wedding and really its your choice wear an orange mini dress in winter with purple pumps and a red handbag, if that is what you want.
Curling your hair will also give you the look of a million dollar bride in a $60 dress.
And while casual doesn’t mean cheap, why spend $4000 on a dress you only wear once when your cousin wore jeans to wedding.

You should check out little boutiques in your area. Also your bridesmaids will be happier, they can pick their own dresses and they aren’t spending an arm and leg for a dress when they aren’t even getting the gifts and envelopes of cash.
