Testimonies: I want the fairy
Every girl dreams of that special fairy-tale wedding. The big white dresses and fancy hair. The stunning makeup and beautiful nails. The perfect little shoes and a glistening tiara. Every girl wants to be that beautiful princess, marrying her prince charming. When I was engaged, I would look through bridal magazines to try to get some ideas. I would look at the different types of flowers to see what I would want for my own bouquet. I would look at the different updo styles to see how I wanted my updo styled. I would look at the different dresses to see what I thought looked best. But as I would look through the different magazines and browse the internet, I would think back to what my wedding day really meant to me.
A wedding is a special time. It is one of the happiest days of your life. I remember looking through the magazines and beginning to day dream about my special day. As I looked through the many pages, of different dresses for the after party and all the different options for themes, I couldn’t help but think that all I wanted to do was spent this wonderful and exciting experience with everyone in my life. I wanted all my friends to be there, even the ones I hadn’t spoke to in a few month, or years. I wanted all the people I had grown up with to celebrate with me. I wanted the different teachers that had impacted my life, even in the slightest way, to share in this special occasion. I wanted something special. My wedding was going to be something that people remembered. Not because the band was amazing and not because the decorations were breathtaking, but because watching my husband and I so happy together made it something to remember.

Looking back at my wedding day, I believe I had that perfect fairy-tale wedding. I didn’t get caught up in the crazy extra details. It wasn’t an exclusive lavish party, with special hours devours and 5 different ice sculptures. It was a day where I wore a beautiful dress and felt like a princess. My updo was done and the makeup looked stunning. We were so happy that is made everyone around us happy. We celebrated with those close to us and with those not so close to us. There was nothing specifically unique about it, but everyone left feeling they had never been to a wedding like this one. It was a day that people will remember. Not because of the crazy party we had but because of the beautiful day that it was, celebrating our marriage.
