Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. Every bride-to-be wants to look her best and undoubtedly many hours are spent deliberating over the exact look which is required. After considering dress, hair and accessories due consideration should also be given to make up. There are a few questions you should ask yourself. Do you wear make up on a daily basis? Are you allergic to any products? Are you creative enough to compliment the rest of your outfit? Do you want to look different on the day? Finally you have to make the decision between doing your own make up or enlisting the help of a makeup artist.
You will surely save money by asking a family member to help you or relying on your own skills but will that really suffice? If you find a reputable makeup artist they will be able to advise you, give you samples of their work and a trial run before the big day to ensure you are perfectly happy. They will have a vast Array of different products in different colours and finishes which is a lot easier than trying to match colours at a cosmetics counter. It is important not to look too different and that the makeup artist full understands the desired affect. It is a good idea to take someone with you that you trust in case you are not confident enough to point out if there are things that you are not happy with. If you attend the trial session with your makeup done as you would wear it on a daily basis the makeup artist will be better able to gauge how much you would like to wear on your big day.
Before making your final decision it is worth asking friends if they can recommend a good makeup artist. If you have to find one yourself consider asking if they have their own premises or do they prefer to come to your home? Will they do your make up at home on the day of your wedding? If not there is a time factor to consider. Ask about discounts for other family members as it might make an ideal treat for your future mother-in-law. A good makeup artist should also include all of the products they use in the price so that you can touch up during the day to ensure you look your best throughout.
