Although most brides envision themselves with long, flowing hair on their wedding day, there are plenty of brides who also have short hair because they look better with shorter hair, live in a hot climate, or just can’t stand to deal with all that hair!
Luckily, there are some great ways to style your short tresses. Firstly, if you wanted a long hairstyle but your hair is short, fake it! There are some really great hair extensions you can use to get your “hair” looking pretty much any way you want. You should talk to your hair stylist about it, and do not try to do it yourself!
Something subtle you can do is to have your stylist give you a wavy do. You can do this with a hot curling iron, either create small curves and waves, or straighten your hair a bit and smooth it into waves if it is already curly. You will definitely need some strong hold hair spray to keep this do. This is a very chic and modern look.
Another sleek and modern look is your basic straight and smooth. Your bangs are to be combed and flat, neatly swept towards the left or right depending on how it naturally lays. Tuck the rest of your hair behind your ears, spray and voila! This is a very feminine style.
If you don’t want to spend hours on your hair, use a tiara with crystals on it! These are beautiful and just need to be properly sprayed in and look great on pretty much every head of hair (except buzz cuts!). Dazzling barrettes are also a lovely adornment to your hair. Flowers both real and fake can also make your hair adorable. Add a string or two of pearls and you are starlet material.
Another great way to adorn your hair, that is MUCH more time consuming is to have fake pearls and glitter hair-sprayed on. But you will definitely need the help of a professional, and make sure to wake up extra early!
If you want to make the most minimal effort on your hair, just make sure it is nicely brushed, tousled for a little body, and add gel to style. Short hair can actually be very dramatic and sexy on a bride. But you will want to go for a sleeveless styled dress to accentuate this look.
And don’t forget to wear beautiful earrings no matter what style you wear. Short hair is a great way to show off those ear sparkles!
